The App is a companion app and will work only with Quicken 2015 and above desktop products. Not all Quicken desktop features are available in the App. I have been using stock quote updates for years without issue. I use only stock quote updates - not financial institution transaction download - these are separate parts of the one step update as far as I can tell.
